Unlike WiFi or Bluetooth, a LoRa module can transmit motion alerts over 1km+ through walls, making it the perfect backbone for a reliable, off-grid security system. A: LoRa modules use radio frequency (915MHz or 868MHz) to communicate directly between devices. They don't need a router, internet, or WiFi. This is what makes this security system perfect for remote areas. Q: What is the real-world range of this LoRa security system? A: With the RYLR998 LoRa module at 915MHz, you can expect 500m to 1km+ line-of-sight. Through multiple walls in a house, it will easily cover 50-100 meters. Q: Can I add more sensors to this security system? A: Absolutely! The LoRa module supports different addresses. You can add more sender ESP32s (e.g., for doors, windows, garages) and set them to unique addresses. Running the ERC: Finding unconnected pins and short circuits. The Infamous PWR_FLAG: Fixing the "Input Power pin not driven" error that confuses every beginner.
